"Houston, Apollo 11, How do you read?"

Hi folks,

Thank you all for downloading Houston: Ground Control! It was a spur of the moment idea that was inspired by the Indie NASA TTRPG Adventure jam here on itch.io.

Disclaimer: Before heading into the artistic route of comics, games, and more... I seriously considered pursuing a career in the field of astronomy. I did two semesters back in college (this was when the JWST was due to launch 1 year from then - 2008...) and the professor cheekily tried to make me change career paths saying I had a knack for it.

Needless to say, when I saw NASA and TTRPG in the same title, I just had to join!

Onto the serious stuff! I need your help

Houston: Ground Control is meant to be a cooperative play puzzle game that spurs players to complete their tasks within a time limit. There were lots of unknowns as I scrambled to finish it for the jam. Mainly, how much time should I give to each task?, and do the tasks make enough sense to complete?

I've done some personal runs of all the puzzles, though am biased towards the answers, and also got my lab rat lovely playtester Ellan to try them out herself. The data looked promising, but she kept getting faster with the puzzles as she had a greater understanding of what needed to be done.  In the end we split the difference and when for the mean time for each task.

That being said, the more feedback we get for the game the better!

If you decide to run the game, we would love to hear your thoughts on running it. How did it feel, what you want to see added, how long did players need to finish puzzles / did they fail?

Any and all feedback is most welcome!

Thanks again for downloading the game and all the best on your adventures!

Cheers,

Vince
