Tap into the collective unconsciousness and imbue your story with the mystical art of story.

The Zine

The Hero's Journey story structure developed by mythographer Joseph Campbell. It is a theory that highlights the universal story plots and themes that are shared by stories all over the world and throughout time.

This 24-page zine acts as  a quick reference guide for writers and GMs to use when writing and roleplaying. Read it while plotting out your novel, or before a game, to assist in mapping out the story you are trying to tell.

Features

The zine includes commentary on the Hero's Journey (Monomyth), analysing its numerous forms. It includes 12 separate stages for readers to explore. These pages have plot and thematic notes, as well as questions that can be answered in order to define the stage for your story.

Zodiac x Cycle

Zodiac is another storytelling reference guide that assists writers and roleplayers in defining characters along the lines of the 12 universal archetypes

You can pair the two zines together and run a small solo, or group, journaling experience by using the traits of the archetypes in Zodiac to help answer the question prompts in Cycle

Just as an interesting bit of trivia that not many people realize: the hero’s journey is a useful template for storytelling but it’s absolute BS that white dude pulled out of his hat and made every other story and myth retro-fit with every possible misogynistic undertone he could load into it :D

Regardless! I’m looking forward to having a read at this :)

That's partially correct. Jung was the basis and comparative mythology does show many similarities in myth across varying cultures. PIE myth, for example, has recurring mythemes.
