Monstrum

The Game

Monstrum is a tabletop roleplaying game set in a grimdark, gothic world inspired by games like Dark Souls. It can be played Solo, or with up to 4 players and a GM. 

In the game, you create your character (or Slayer) as well as monsters using a set of d66 tables. Answer some questions around the bonfire to establish the scene, and battle your creations in the desolate lands of a fallen empire. 

The game has a uses The Eye mechanic to provide an extra dimension in combat, facilitating player cooperation and strategy. Items are integral in improving the odds, with a marketplace where slayers can purchase stronger armour, or finer weapons, with their bounty.  

In this world of ill-gotten kings and other-worldly monsters, it's up to you and your fellow slayers to save the kingdom from the encroaching dark. Collect trophies off of the creatures you fell, and claim your rightful place at the Citadel.

Running on Pipsqueak

Monstrum  runs on the Pipsqueak System, designed for the game War of the Pips. It's a OSR-style system that leans on player agency and a sandbox world to explore.
